The drill cuttings dryer is designed to further process the drill cuttings discharged from the vibrating screen of the solids control system to recover more drilling mud and reduce waste discharge. It greatly reduces the waste disposal cost and saves the consumption of drilling fluid base fluid. KOSUN vertical drill cuttings dryer can reduce the oil content of drill cuttings to less than 5%.

 
 

KOSUN drill cuttings dryer equipment configuration:

KOSUN Machinery can provide screw conveyors for receiving and feeding materials, or drill cuttings transfer pumps. Drill cuttings dryer, decanter centrifuge, screw pump for slurry, installation tank and bracket, discharge screw conveyor and corresponding quick mounting bracket.

1. Screw conveyor: KOSUN provides lifting legs for screw conveyor installation, which are used to collect the drilling cuttings of the mud system, especially the first-level vibrating screen, and transport them to the cuttings dryer. If a more flexible equipment layout is required on site, Guanneng recommends replacing the screw conveyor with a solid vacuum pump.

2. Cuttings drying machine: Cuttings drying machine is the key equipment of the system, which is used to throw out the oil and liquid in cuttings by centrifugal force, thereby reducing the oil content of drilling cuttings to less than 5%. The drill cuttings dryer of KOSUN machinery is equipped with an air knife and a flushing system to ensure that the dryer runs for a long time without clogging the screen basket. The speed of up to 900 rpm ensures the dryness of the drill cuttings discharged by the cuttings dryer.

3. High-speed decanter the liquid discharged from the drill cuttings dryer to the decanter decanter centrifuge for treatment, remove ultra-fine solids, and make the drilling fluid return to be used for drilling.
